Question: How is the background picture shown on an “people” page determined? In many (and likely most) cases the picture seems kind of a bad choice: You get for example a picture from a series where an actor had a 10 seconds appearance as guest in 1 episode instead of the movie or series where they had a main role, and what is worse: The actor in question does almost never appear in this background picture. The image displayed as poster is usually OK.

I sort of already understood what you are talking about, but I went a double-checked just to see if it was as you described it.
LOL. Well this could provide a lot of unintentional entertainment. It’s not the first thing he did, it’s not the last thing he did, and it’s not coming from TMDB. I guess it was the most recent image background available when Trakt last updated that page.
If there isn’t a specific image set, it picks a random item they were in. I believe it cached that image for about a day then would pick again.
It picks a new image upon refresh for me from a random entry they appeared in.
