Can you please bring back the old UI? Right now, there is no way to use the old UI anymore.
When you first introduced the new UI to Android, I stopped using the app and started using the web version on my phone. Now, even the web version is forcing me to use the new UI.
It is not only about bad UI components; it is about some core functionality missing now. For example, there is no way to see how many people are currently watching. This is literally the main reason why I use Trakt and not any other service.
And what really confuses me is that you are building a new experience with less functionality that we never asked for, and you doubled the price of the premium subscription.
I have been a member since 2014, and I am a VIP member too, but sadly (very sadly), I am debating leaving Trakt altogether, or at least I am going to cancel my VIP subscription for now until I see where is this going.
Guys, advice from a Software Engineer to fellow Software Engineers: listen to your customers, and if something is good, please maintain and build upon it instead of recreating the app and pushing everyone away.
I have to say: the new version of trakt has terrible UX.
The old one was crystal clear, now i can not find anything and it is confusing.

Agreed, the old version is much easier to understand. This new version is very confusing to use on a laptop. They don’t even have all of the settings available, and I don’t like being thrown into the new version without the ability to change back.
This version works well on my iPhone, but that’s it. It flows well for a smaller space. On the website, it’s rather annoying having to scroll to the left all the time to see what I’m watching, have no idea how to drop shows, or even add things easily to my watchlist.
It’s chaotic, and if the website version (which I use the most while doing other things), continues this way, I’ll probably be canceling my VIP membership. I’m not going to pay for something I hate.
I’m really struggling A LOT to understand how the team is thinking is a good idea to force this update on their users when is clearly half-baked (not even that). For the love of god, I can’t even see my rating history anymore, not to mention the awful stars system. Is pretty obvious there a friking lot of old features missing here. Why release it like that? I’m not sure if you guys can’t really read the room, but this arbitrary changes are making people star hating your product. Not a good sign.
I dont like the new design. Can’t see my rating on series episodes. That way I would know if it’s a nice episode to rewatch. X-Files had a lot of guest stars. Now is just bad because only shows the regulars.
Navigation is also not the best and the double tap starv system needs to be explained, so it’s not intuitive
Thanks guys, yes I’m relieved to say it was a false alarm. I will try to explain why. I use trakTV’s website as an “installed” site in windows (a feature buried more and more, but in “More” and then “Cast, save and share” and then “Install page as app…”) so that I can use it without much browser stuff. It logged me out, saying there was a new version, and after that when I logged back in I got dumped into the “new” look app. I then manually went to the dashboard URL and that immediately re-directed me back. That’s why I thought the redirect had been removed.
