Use Case: User wants a single location to track their progress specifically on “sets”. Both watched and collected.
Summary: Right now I don’t think that there’s an easy way to track progress in sets (e.g., Indiana Jones). Would be really nice to have a single interface within “Progress” to list sets that have been either fully or partially collected and/or watched so that it’s easy to identify missing items. This popped up as I was about to start a movie that I thought was a standalone only to have Kodi tell me it’s part of a set….and I’m missing the first two :-/
I understand your idea, but wouldn’t there be a huge overlap with lists? Would your use case not be covered by having “Featured lists” on items’ pages and then you can use these lists to track your progress on these sets/franchises/series? If not, I would be interested in how and where you would integrate this set tracking.
However, of course, these sets/collections would not show up as one thing on the progress page. And well, the progress page is currently gone in v3 anyways :/.
But yeah, having the feature fully implemented as you suggested would still hold some advantages compared to just these popular/featured lists.
