Imported from TV time watch history not syncing with Sofatime

,

I moved from TV time to Trakt. Exported and imported my data which worked great. I downloaded SofaTime which should be supported and linked my Trakt there. All data syncs well except for the watch history of tv shows. I tried uninstalling the app, relinking with Trakt, re-importing my TV Time data into Trakt, nothing works. How do I get my watch history of TV shows on SofaTime since I prefer the look of SofaTime over Trakt for shows?

I’m having the exact same issue.

I moved from TV Time to Trakt and connected Sofa Time on iOS. Movies sync fine, but watched status for TV episodes doesn’t sync properly. I did some debugging and found the direction of the bug seems very specific:

**1.	Trakt → Sofa Time: broken.** If I mark an episode as watched directly on Trakt (for a show already existing in both), then trigger a resync in Sofa Time, nothing happens — the watched status doesn’t come through to Sofa Time.

**2.	Sofa Time → Trakt (new show): works.** If I add a new show in Sofa Time and mark episodes as watched there, syncing Sofa Time to Trakt correctly pushes that watched data to Trakt.

**3.	Trakt → Sofa Time (same new show): broken again.** But for that *same* show (the one originally added via Sofa Time), if I then mark additional episodes as watched on Trakt directly and resync, those don’t come back down to Sofa Time.

So it looks like the sync only works one-way (Sofa Time → Trakt), and never the other way (Trakt → Sofa Time), regardless of whether the show was originally imported from TV Time or added fresh via Sofa Time. This points to something specific in how Sofa Time pulls/reads episode watched-status updates from the Trakt API, rather than a one-time import glitch.

Hope this helps narrow it down — happy to share logs or test further if useful.

Thank you for your message! So I gather there is not really a solution? That’s a shame. Then I should probably get used to Trakt haha. Thanks anyway!

You need to update their app to Version 7.3.0. Looks like its fixed.

Wow! You’re right. It works now. That’s great!

Update: looks like this has been fixed (mostly) in the latest Sofa Time update

Wanted to follow up here in case it helps others hitting the same issue. Sofa Time just pushed a major update on iOS — version 7.3.0, released overnight — and the changelog explicitly lists among the fixes: “Improved reliability of Trakt sync” and “Fixes for watched states, progress, and lists.”

I tested it this morning: syncing from Trakt → Sofa Time now correctly pulls in watched history that previously wasn’t coming through (the exact one-way bug I described above). So for the shows Trakt already knew about, watched status is now flowing back down to Sofa Time properly.

One caveat: it’s not a true two-way merge. One show that only existed locally in Sofa Time (not yet on Trakt) stayed untouched — it looks like the sync pulled remote (Trakt) data into Sofa Time, but didn’t push that local-only show up to Trakt. So if you have shows that exist only on one side, you may want to double-check those manually after updating.

Overall though, this seems like a real fix for the main issue. Thanks again for confirming I wasn’t alone on this — glad it’s resolved!
