Incorrect TV show name

Hi. Is it possible to change the name of https://trakt.tv/shows/queer-as-folk-us to what’s actually on TMDB? “Queer as Folk (US)” to “Queer As Folk”. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I would have said that the correct naming for this should include the (US) at the end of it as it is a remake of the UK show, the original version of any show takes presidency over the name, remakes of a show need to include the country or date of newer version

If multiple shows have the exact same name, it causes confusion with media centre software as they cannot auto match (Plex/Emby)

That sucks for matching, but then you just gotta override/manually fix the match. :woman_shrugging: I know that’s possible for Plex.

No years, country codes, or whatever should be added to titles on TMDb. As they’re not actually part of the title. I don’t know what’s stated in the rules/guidelines about that for TVDb, but I don’t care anyway, haha.

So according to that, Titanic should be Titanic (1997)? I think it looks ugly. It should be only the name, it doesn’t matter if it’s a remake. When matching a movie or a TV show, it’s gonna appears the year next to it so you can see which one is the correctly match.

I totally agree! The thing is, both names of Queer As Folk are correctly on TMDB and TVDB, only on Trakt is wrong.

Yeah, super strange. I refreshed it a bunch of times, but nothing’s changing. Maybe report I over at support.trakt.tv?
