Manual update watched status

So, there is an older backup in place and in a week or so all the watched history should be back to pre-crash.

But, whats wise within that week? To manually select stuff i’ve seen since the november backup? To do nothing (becsuse it might be overwritten)? To only select watched for post crash stuff?

I’ve no problem spending some time to correct stuff, but I’d rather not do that if it’ll be overwritten with the active restore…

I think for the moment, it’s best to wait with marking anything between Nov 7 and yesterday.

From my understanding, they will try to recover your history and you can opt in to merge the current history with the recovered history.

This would mean that if you mark anything as watched manually, it will appear as watched twice.

Have patience!

Your understanding is correct.

:cloud_with_lightning: I have a feeling this might be my fault so I’d like to apologize to the community. :cloud_with_lightning:

Over the last month+ I had been spending most of my spare time properly organizing and hand editing my entries, which I never did when I first opened my account. Literally hours at each sitting. I don’t think it was two days after completing it that the crash happened.

Looking at my account now I am just gobsmacked. My gut just sank when everything came back online. I know I’m not the only person to lose data here, but it seems I picked the perfectly worse time to do the extensive data massaging that needed to be done.

I guess I’ll hope against hope that some of that work will be raised from the dead. I already started adding some stuff before finding this thread, so I’ll take the advice given and refrain until next week. :crossed_fingers:

Cheers

If you’ve hidden the crash message, will you still see the message about your history has been recovered later this week?

Yes, it will be a new, non hideable message.
