Many of you have requested a way to mark movies or episodes as watched, even if you can’t recall the exact date you watched them, particularly for all the content you’ve seen before joining Trakt.
You can now do that on trakt.tv 
When marking something as watched, you’ll see a new option to mark it as watched with an unknown date.
Note: depending on your Settings, you may have to long press the
button to get these options.
What it does
- Updates your play counters → so your totals stay accurate
- Excludes those plays from your date-based stats and graphs → so your all-time charts stay clean with no random spikes in the past
- Clearly shows that the item was “Watched” → but without a date
This means you can finally backfill your history without worrying about messing up your plays by year/month/day stats.

Why it matters
This was one of the most requested improvements from users who wanted to track everything they’ve ever watched without having to pick fake dates or mess up their stats.
