Ooh Man.... I liked The Old One Better

I’m glad to see that the old forums haven’t been deleted, though. They’re still around in read-only mode: https://trakt.tv/forums

We just need a way to get there, a link from someplace (I noticed all the “Forums” menu/button entries on the main Trakt site point here) so people don’t have to remember the old URL.

@justin Can you promise us that the old forums will stick around for the foreseeable future, so the years-long archive of discussions won’t get lost?

As long as there isn’t a technical reason, I’m pretty sure we can keep them around for a long time. We have had to hack the old forums over the years to keep them working, but I think read only will continue to work ok.

I like these, definitely different and going to take some getting used to though. I’ve never used Discourse before, mainly used xenForo (that’s what I use for my site as well). But this isn’t bad at all.

EDIT: Actually I think the DC Universe Forums might use Discourse, not sure though.

My first thought (and post) on the new Forum was AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH

I think now that was purely because we don’t like change.

Now I have to say that I am getting used to it and do quite like it and finding it easier to use the more I use it (obvious!)

Just wish my spellchecker would work in here

LanguageTool, an open source app similar to Grammarly works with most web apps, and I can confirm it to be working in these forums. Available as a browser extension.
