Scrobblers keep skipping movies

Hey,
I recently enabled the scrobblers for Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video
For the first few days everything seemed to work fine, but now every time they run, the movies I watch don’t appear as watched, instead the scrobblers page shows there were some skipped entries, but clicking that only takes me back to the scrobblers page
I try running the syncs manually, but most times it doesn’t do anything - except for Disney+, where if I sync everything it keeps fetching a movie that I watched some three years ago, and nothing else
Any tips?

Right now, I ran the Netflix sync again. It fetched 5 episode views from a few years ago, but not the two movies I saw this week

Episodes on amazon prime are fetched correctly, watched a movie yesterday and nothing happens.

Netflix episodes are ok, movies don’t show up, Same for AppleTV+

I just pushed a new update to help identify skipped items and to give us more info as to why they might be skipped. Go to https://trakt.tv/settings/scrobblers and click on the skipped item number, it will show you some of the raw data, if were able to find a match, and the watched percentage. When contacting support, please attach this direct sync link so we have a good starting point to look at.

I’d be curious what your data looks like and if the 2 missing movies are in this skipped data.

Ok, this is really helpful. Here are a few examples from Netflix:
https://trakt.tv/settings/syncs/929941
https://trakt.tv/settings/syncs/933473
Sign in to Trakt - Trakt + Sign in to Trakt - Trakt
In the first two syncs, the movie is there, but progress is 0.0%. For the last two syncs, focus on the last four entries (the ones I had to add manually). Not only are all of them at 0.0%, but one of the movies actually shows up 3 times with a progress of 0.0%

As for Disney+, it’s harder for me to understand what’s wrong:
https://trakt.tv/settings/syncs/891805
https:// trakt. tv/settings/syncs/906164?page=4 (had to break it because I can only post 5 links in a comment yet)
On the first sync, you’ll see that the movie was simply marked as not completed, at 67.0%, but then on the second link (the next sync), there’s two entries for the movie, one at 67.0% and one at 68.0%. I can confirm that on Disney+ the movie doesn’t show on the “Continue Watching” list, and I did finish it, but I’m not sure if there’s a better way to confirm that it’s marked as watched internally for them.

Thanks, and I hope this is helpful. I haven’t seen anything on Prime Video recently to diagnose issues, and I don’t have other scrobblers enabled for now

Are they movies you had previously watched and marked as such already? On Trakt that is.

No, although there are some movies from Disney+ that don’t show up in the last sync and that would belong to that category
The ones from Netflix I was watching for the first time; they were on my Watchlist, I believe
I’m assuming, since the sync data shows those with 0.0% completion, that the problem is from Netflix/Younify, but that might be important indeed

So:

  • From Netflix, the two movies mentioned were on my Watchlist, were not previously watched nor marked as such on Trakt, and show up in the syncs with 0.0% progress
  • From Disney+, there were movies not on my Watchlist, not previously watched nor marked as such on Trakt, that show up in the syncs with ~67.0% progress, although I did finish them and they’re not in the “Continue Watching” list on Disney+
  • Also from Disney+, I do see a couple of movies that were previously watched and marked as such on Trakt, and therefore are currently being ignored as per the list of know issues. Interestingly, some of them appear in this “All data sync”, but not in this one, that took place a few hours later

Looking at the list of Known issues, most of the issues I reported from Disney+ fall on either the “Items already watched in your Trakt history are skipped.” or the “Items watched less than 80% are skipped.” categories - although I’d like to understand why some of them are marked as less than 80% even though I finished them and even made sure to wait until the end of the credits. For the Netflix ones, I was trying to see if they could fall in the “Items that aren’t streaming in the United States are currently being ignored.” category, but they seem to be available there, so I’m guessing it’s just because they’re marked as 0.0% watched, although, again, I’d like to understand why that is. I see them on my Watching activity on Netflix, but that one doesn’t show completion

@justin Don’t know how the investigation is going regarding this, but I did a test where I didn’t let a movie from Netflix go to the end of the credits, and it synced:
https://trakt.tv/settings/syncs/965871
I’m guessing when the movies get to 100% completion, Netflix deletes whatever entity it uses to keep track of “play status”, and just moves the movies to the completed list, and therefore the movie just resets to 0% and that’s what’s causing this specific issue
