Show That Is 100% Watched Stuck in Up Next In Trakt V2 Website

Short description of the issue

  • I have TNA Impact show which is caught up and all watched 100% as of today. it’s still stuck in Up Next in Trakt V2 Website. I’ve tried both “Reset Data” and “Reset Progress Data”. Both doesn’t resolve the issue. Everything seems fine in Trakt v3 apps and website. See screenshot below.

Further findings and updates…

Above screenshot part of the detail page also seems to not be accurate in terms “recently aired” as those are future dates.

but then if you go into the episode list for season 23, things are marked correctly and showing correctly.

hi @Sonply - can you check with the team to see if something odd going on with v2 website with this show?

Is this issue linked to the following post?

I see mention of V2 Website - Can you please provide the link, Thanks…

link to show from v2 website: https://trakt.tv/shows/tna-impact

Looks the exact same as V3 - I’m pretty sure V2 would show the previous “Collections” not the new “Library”

Hi,
That depends. Does that show show up in your “Continue Watching” at V3?

it’s loading up correctly in v3. i.e. right now it’s not showing since i’m caught up until Thursday when next episode airs.

what do you mean “previous collections and not the new library”?

you wouldn’t have access to v2 unless you were VIP at this time. all free users go directly to v3

Got it - Thanks

@Sonply does the team have any updates on this issue? it’s still stuck in continue watching in v2 website, but ok in v3 website and app.

also notice it is not showing up in upcoming schedule in v3 apps.

Hi,
I believe the issue here is related to getting the early release dates for shows that air earlier on streaming services. We are getting those from IMDB or TVMaze and IMDB lists the new season as season 24. So the entire season 23 has already aired there. And at V3, we are using those dates, because the system is assuming those episodes aired earlier.
The dates are only replaced at V3.
The continue watching there has a special rule that only certain early releases with certain conditions show up in there. That’s why it is not showing up. V2 is not preparered to handle that, so I believe the show ends up being bugged there for that reason.

We are planning to add a way to lock the dates from TMDB in those cases, and that will be the fix, but until we can’t do that, there isn’t much I can do right now. We’ll fix it as soon as we can.

Thanks for the update!
