I subscribe to new release lists, but sadly they are often cluttered with Anime, which I will never, ever watch. Is there a way to select genres to be excluded from my Trakt experience? I figure I’m paying for it, I’d like to only see what I want to see.

What do you specifically mean by this? Trying to determine what section of Trakt you are referring to which will help determine if this is possible or not.
Specifically “eMail Digests” through Notification Channels is what made me think of it. But I’d love to tailor the way I see the entire site by omitting certain genres. The emails are specifically anime heavy, which is a drag when you just. don’t. care.

I never understood lists or “following” people on trakt but to each their own. You can subscribe via calendar or RSS to different types of things in the Calendar section. I use it to add any premieres to my own calendar which works great for keeping track of things. If I want to know what to add, I also use the Calendar section of Trakt to find new shows or movies (filtered by streaming service, genre, language, etc.), then add them to my Watchlist, which in turn, adds them to my personal calendar. This way, I only get what I want.

Not sure if it’s the exact same thing as Starminder is looking for but I subscribe to the “Personal email digests - New shows” which I get every Sunday evening - really nice. However, these do contain a lot of anime which I’m not interested in. If I would be able to filter out Anime from those emails that would be much appreciated.
Or perhaps be able to choose what genres should be included in these emails?

New Shows + daily checkbox + choose you preferred time
You can do this limited to your own calendar, or the global calendar.
I’m looking into a way to add genre filtering to the email digests. It would need to be available for each email type and I need to figure out the UI for it as well.
