TVTime import of data not functioning (format has changed)

The Trakt importer tool says the following:

However, there is not filetype called “tracking-prod-records-v2.csv” in the latest GDPR exports provided by TVTime. What they provide is a zip containing several folders, with “watched” status in a JSON, along with “ratings” separately. I would like to import both the ratings and watch entries.

So does trakt need to update this to function?

I should also note that they replied to me within minutes, I had to send them my User ID (ID number in settings page), Email Address, and the last 3 things I watched. Then I got the export a few minutes later. No PW required anymore.

I’d try the CSV imports first if that’s the collection information, unless it really contains data protection information then don’t. After try the others containing JSON with watched and ratings etc. I would imagine that the TVTime exports would have some kind of ID linking the content of the separate files such as an IMDB ID etc that Trakt would be able to use to link the separate bits of data together.

The new zip file contains ONLY .json files. There are zero CSV files.

The JSONs look in a format that somebody could easily adapt to, but the current tool does not adapt to it.

@support probably needs to weigh in I suppose.

By the way is this the only @support channel / no email right?

I’ve passed this along to the developer who handles the importers so they should follow up soon. As for contacting support, you can dm @support directly or email support@trakt.tv to open a private support ticket.

Maybe also check out this post from another use like last week. It’s currently super vague about what type of [database]id to import. Seems like for tvdb it has to be episode id. But people have tried series id.

Maybe that should be specified extra clearly. Also how does trakt now whether it’s a tmdb movie or episode id that would be imported (how does one find an episode id on tmdb even. Except looking at the source code lmao).
Or are both unique (perhaps?).

Same for IMDb. Although those ids are quite clear.

Duplicate id thingy is actually also mentioned in the announcement post from January by yet another user.

@shackrock we’ll be looking into this issue this week :eyes:

Yeah it seems they changed things… @shackrock, can you please send me the zip file?
