Hey fellow Trakt users,
Just as we expected, the post got closed with no real resolution. So what now?
Look, I totally get that they’re rebuilding a unified codebase to make Web, Android, and iOS better in the long run — and I’m genuinely supportive of that. Respect where it’s due.
What frustrates me is how they’re handling it and how little they seem to be listening to us. We’re not against the change. We’re just asking them not to force V3 on everyone while it’s still not ready and to please keep the old UX. That horizontal scrolling is a hard no for a lot of us.
I’ve been a VIP purely to support the project and the team behind something I really love. I don’t even use any of the VIP perks.
This was my last attempt to get through to them. If nothing changes, I’ll consider moving on from Trakt and canceling my membership.
We’re not against progress — we’re against being ignored and treated like this. As someone who works in development with more than a decade of experience, I know this isn’t the right way to roll out big changes.
Trakt team, you built this community because of all of us and years of love and support. You’re starting to lose that goodwill. Just something to think about.
