Add a vertical UI/UX for the v3 web for desktops

Marked as “completed”.

I beg your pardon?!

I’m kind of surprised as well… still looks and feels more like a mobile app, except for the removed horizontal scrolling.

So the list of items is just truncated at 7 items and you have to fully expand a category or item to see the remaining items?

I guess that’s one way of solving scrolling, remove it. SMH.

ETA. And when trying to scroll episodes in a season, the popup doesn’t allow you to switch to a different season. You have to exit the popup with the episodes and then click on the next season.

It’s becoming all too clear Trakt doesn’t envisage desktop users availing themselves of the product.

In Firefox I can actually scroll past 7 items, to see all episodes for a season. In Chrome however, that doesn’t happen, as there’s no scroll bar visible.

Anyway, the experience shouldn’t be like this, I agree. For desktop, a vertical view is way better than a horizontal view. And if it they are sticking with horizontal, at least make it a good implementation, like most streaming websites, and not this ugly amount of tabs in firefox or not allowing to scroll in chrome.

Hot mess :fire:

i’ve noticed that if you access a show via the episode in your up next or history that you can still scroll horizontally but if you pull up the series page by clicking the show title then you get the vertical scrolling option

Any inputs ??
