@justin
I cannot get my Amazon Prime account to connect. When looking at the scrobblers page, it shows inactive. I have tried on my Samsung Galaxy phone unlinking and relinking the account. It picks my profile when I sign in, but my phone still shows a “sign in” button and not a check mark.
An auth token is different than saving your username and password
In what way?
Which scope does this token have?
Great feature. Netflix and Amazon Prime are now synced to trakt when i watch them on my tv.
However I noticed a difference between prime and netflix. the date/time stamp for prime is the time that the movie/episode has ended. The date/time stamp for netflix is the time that Netflix starts the movie/episode.
I believe the standard for Trakt is the end time of the episode/movie, so can this be corrected for netflix?
Hi Justin, thanks for your reply!
I logged off from the streaming service through the trakt app.
A few days after that I changed my password precautionary since some safety aspects within the Younify service aren’t clear. It was after that when I started getting these emails (at least 2 so far).
Justin answered this here.
Hi, first I want to say, really nice feature, looking especially forward to synced watchlists, because that would be the most useful feature for me. I have just one question, is it planned in the future, to select what is synced? Because I don’t want to sync my ratings, which are totaly different on the streaming sites, then on Trakt. For example on Netflix there’s just double thumbs up, thumbs up and thumbs down.
Hi @Justin,
Any news on this? Having the same problem.
Thanks Justin, that makes sense as I was watching hour long episodes! Appreciate your work on this feature.
would there be an option in future to just sync whatever? Sometimes I like to watch a series again and it would be handy to have it auto scrobbled
I have linked all 4 services that you support but only Netflix and Amazon appear to be syncing correctly. Hulu and Apple tried to sync once but haven’t synced since. I have added and removed them a couple times and they are currently disconnected. Can Hulu and Apple be reset and I can try adding them again?
Some update were just released.
- Netflix sync will add the episode or movie runtime to make the watched at more accurate. By default, they track when you start watching it whereas Trakt wants when you end watching.
- Hulu initial import will use the episode or movie release date. Hulu sadly doesn’t track watched dates so this is the best we can do. Ongoing syncs will be somewhat more accurate, but still not exact.
- Website can be used to unlink services. This could already be done in the mobile apps too.
- Website can be used to queue a data sync and it asks if you only want new data, or all data to be synced.
- Improved the initial data sync when linking 2+ services.
Just pushed a fix for this.
You can unlink services from the website now too.
We translate the ratings to the Trakt 10 heart scale. It’s possible we’ll allow customization as to what data is synced.
We’ll likely allow this to handle rewatching a series.
Please try the new sync options on the website, you can choose to sync only new data or all data.
So I finished a show completely on Prime and it started an episode of another show I stopped it after about 2 seconds but it got synced as if I had watched the entire show. Didn’t you state somewhere it would only add if a certain % was watched?
Yes it should only count 80% or higher as watched. Please provide the exact item and I can look up to see what watched percentage Amazon reported.
It was the 2 expanded ones. Monkey i watched a few minutes to see if it was what i remembered from my childhood and in english. Nautilus was the one that auto played straight after secret levels last episode for a few seconds. Both synced. I have deleted them from my watch history (monkey i used undo as it came through on its own, Nautilus manually from watch history)
First off, thank you for adding this feature! Been waiting for this for a long time!
I just want to point out that the Hulu scrobbler is not working for me. Each day it is refreshed, it is pulling in a bunch of movies and shows that I did not watch. It keeps randomly pulling in the same shows (Love Island and Schitt’s Creek).
Otherwise, Netflix and Apple TV+ are working great.
I haven’t watched anything on Prime yet, so can’t speak to that.
My AppleTV is still not syncing my watched shows. I re-added my AppleTV yesterday, watched a show last night, saw that it didn’t sync overnight and just tried (about 45 minutes ago) to force a sync using the button on the website. The last sync for Apple TV still shows 12/5/2024 @758p as the last sync time.
Hi Justin,
I’m having some issues with the syncing of the stream scrobbler. I pressed sync and waiting for about 15-30 minutes, but nothing happens. It just sends me back to this page and instead of the “sync” saying “queued” it’s saying “sync” again.
Hey guys, seems as if i’m having exactly the same problem. Many thanks!
Looks like something broke with the ability to sync from a recent update. Seems to have happened when Trakt added the ability to remove an account from the Streaming Scrobbler’s page. Now, none of my services will sync any new watched content. I should mention, this is occurring for all of the streaming platforms that I use (Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, and Netflix)
