I wanted to check on which Chuck Norris movie I saw. Back in the old design it was fun to hide the ones you saw and immediately see what’s what. Now I have to scroll the movie list and compare it to the what I’ve seen using the “from my history” and compare to see which I saw? Or just click on one to check? The scrollbar doesn’t work in my Chrome, not even within addons turned off. It DOES work in Firefox but… I currently use Chrome. So I can’t even check ALL the movies cuz they’re off screen.
I’m sure plenty of other things are missing or weirdly placed/changed and I’m sure I’ll get annoyed later when I need it. I’m already reading less comments and seeing less “recommendations” cause it just requires “too much” effort to get there… If there even is a way to get there.
Again… not all people use phones or apps. In fact: apps mostly suck. Ive been on the internet for 30 years now, created some crazy sites when people still scoffed at multipage sites. But you all lost the plot with this app shit… LESS CLICKS, LESS SWIPES, LESS MOVES. We’re the low attention span generation are we not?!

Immensely frustrating that this crap always happens. Do I really need to find another site and redo all the years of tracking or do I just quit this whole charade and keep excel sheets.

Man I can’t even locate the Activation link. Disabled, I rely on this for my Firetv, folks like myself can’t afford cable. I searched & searched & after 30mins of searching I found the activation link. Got activated.
Then tried adding it to phones home page for quick access like the old site could do but this site just takes you to home again. Now I can’t locate that Activate link anywhere again. Why the hell did they change that links location, it worked perfectly as it’s own link on phones & was easy to locate too. New Trakt site is awful, Id fired the webmaster that laid it on my desk.
Your website is a tragedy. This forced mobile app experience on a web browser is both a UI and UX fail. It’s impossible to see your history unless you want to go day by day (no thanks). And the library is completely wiped out.
I’m just wondering what would they lose to like add a small button to turn from v3 to v2 and keep going with the development and all of these great stuff that no one cares about
people aren’t using only trakt because what he does, people use it because it feels like being at home and now I just feel like I’m in the streets with no home to go
Still relevant today the old version just worked, if it’s not broke why fix it, I have been using trakt for many years, I have to use a different website to keep track of my TV shows now, As the new version of trakt is terrible please bring back the old version
Developing stuff does not comes for free, its hours of work and subsequently it is money. If users will be using v2 more than v3, then at some point there will be a question asked. Namely: why did you spent all that money developing v3 if we are still supporting v2 that is more popular? Having v2 around is a certain way to show incompentence way before when reports will star coming. So decision is natural I dont like it, I am not agree with it, but humanly I understand why they are doing this. How many people here will come forward and give up their job because it is right thing to do? It is bad situation. At this point you know how it ends, the only thing I wonder about is which exact competitor will profit the most.
exactly this. The new UI has no glanceability. It used to be one click to do sooo many things and I didnt need to go into entire pages. Now everything is a multi click slog. I simply dont know how anyone could possibly think this was a good idea and im thinking about making a youtube video about this massive developer failure so people can know what they are dealing with before investing time and money.
I can not scroll the episodes after episode 7. I have been using this site for years but I am going to quit. I cannot do anything. This is the worst user experience I have ever seen on any website I have registered. Is this a joke or something? Greatest downgrade of the internet history.

I never understood why everyone here is complaining about the horizontal scroll until today, when I realized how much I’m used to a trackpad. To my surprise, there are no standard controls for the carousel - no drags, no slider dots, no arrows. Might not look that fancy, but at least functional.
I’ve come to say, the reason I used this site is that letterboxed didn’t do all TV. I use that for movies, this for TV. I like the watch list, I like the favourites, but now, when I try to go through the list of tv shows I’ve seen, I just get it episode by episode in the worst format possible, day by day, week by week in the order I logged them, what the hell is that? Why can’t I just see a list of TV shows I’ve logged?
The whole v3 just looks like the most generic vibecoded app ever with zero actual human testing behind it. Shame, I’ve actually liked using Trakt and now I’ve got to find something else. Even if they bring back v2 I won’t come back, I’ve lost all trust in their team
