Hi all, I’ve been with trakt since 2014, but I can’t see any sensibility in leadership anymore. I’ll check out alternatives but I at least still have confidence in this community, so if anyone knows an alternative, please hit me up.

I just wish they’d implement rewatch support, then I’d leave completely.

The new layout is a complete disaster. What are the options? Apparently it’s time to leave trakt, just like when thedvdb made their hopeless design changes 7-8 years ago

Did you use their V2 Beta version? Honestly it’s very similar to Trakt’s old V2.
Just want to add my voice to the crowd of people who hate this re-design. There are so many things I used to do or look at that I can’t do or find now.
From the V3 redirect announcement:
The new experience now supports the core workflows most free users rely on. . . It’s something we see clearly in usage data and behaviors.
Your data might show that I can still navigate the site and mark things as watched, but it doesn’t show my frustration at navigating all over the site but not finding what I’m looking for. I can’t even find my ratings??? That’s the main thing I used this site for… I’m already talking about this site in the past tense. Will have to start looking for an alternative.

i cant respond to the announcement post so they obviously dont care for user feedback but this is easily the worst change ive ever seen in an app i use so often, will no longer be using this website because of it. goodbye trakt o7

my dashboard now looks like this, so i can’t use anything.
i haven’t connected anything to trakt, ever, so it can’t be 3d part stuff messing it up.
from what i see (from the only line i can click on) you can’t view a single show view history anymore, which was essential to me, as it was looking at the shows i have seen ordering by rating.
it’s sad, even if the dashboard worked, for me.
as it is it’s unusable.

Honestly I’m pretty happy with how the alternative / competitor you disliked looks. Or at least on a desktop. The mobile is barebones but that doesn’t worry me so much. It provides what I need at my fingertips while the desktop has all the bells and whistles. Vastly superior imho to what V3 is.

i tried this, but when i imported trakt data it put a lot of stuff i watched years ago as watched today, and changed some of the history here and there.
and of course since i can’t check old trakt history, i can’t correct it with the correct dates.
also it deleted most of my ratings.
still if trakt stays like this i will give it a shot.
fr its actually more easier to use than trakt. crazy words I thought I would’ve never had to say but here we are lmao
Not really. Worst than V3 in my opinion. But maybe they won’t keep changing and messing things up like Trakt is lately
You know what, I’m taking that back. Trakt V3 is not accepting anything as being watched by me. So therefore not trakting what I’m watching now. 
It’s so bad that I though the css failed to load.
How do we export our data? What are the alternative?

With V3 how do we even see WHEN we watched something? If I view something it just says “Watched”… great… when did I watch it? I had to import the data into a rival service just to see that basic bit of information… If that’s still in V3, it’s not obvious on how to see it!
Talking of which… how do we do the official JSON export now? I’m talking about the official GDPR Data Export. The option for that is only under V2 so that needs to very urgently be made accessible!

I was only VIP for a year, so nothing like these 15+ year people, but then you double the price and starting forcing this V3 website/app onto us with 1/4 the functionality.. What you had before was amazing. I loved it, so did everyone here…

Where are these images from?
Worse change ever indeed. V3 was a mistake. Why does Trakt want that bad to make their users go away?
Just tried adding a show to my list, then removing it from my list… and I couldn’t. Had to clear cache, but now it shows as on my watchlist when it isn’t. Buggy mess.
