Month in Review!

What is the month in review URL in your case?

Edit: I changed 'year" to ‘mir’ in the URL and still loads the year in review template.

https://trakt.tv/users/lifeiscrazy/mir/2025/2

but mir or year should not make a difference, they lead to the same page.
If you navigate back a month, the url also changed to year.

Thanks for the URL.

I’ve opened it on Edge and Firefox, and several Chrome profiles, and it works as intended, except in my main Chrome profile, where it also loads the wrong template.

Ok, I’ve found the problem. In my “year in review” page I usually have the “default” profile selected, because that’s the one that I like, I don’t like a new template for each year.

Now I’ve changed it to “Auto”, and the “month in review” loads the correct template.

Not happy with that, but at least now I know how it works.

Sorry for spamming so many messages in a short time.

But still, I don’t understand the statistics (2 plays per week and 0.3 per day)

I think it’s 8 plays in 28 days.
It counts the entire month, since this is for the month.

well that’s easy maths:

we’re in the first week of february, and you have 8 plays so far.
8 divided by 4 weeks is 2.0 (since february has 28 days, it’s even exact 4 weeks)
and for the per day its 8 divided by 28 days is 0.28~ rounded to 0.3

Oh Sonply was first, hahaha.
It’s month in review, not X days of month in review xD

Oh and another EDIT:
The year in review DOES calculate only up until today, but that one also says “Year to date” soooo, that’s gucci!

ALSO super off about the default theme bug. I actually thought that might be the case, and switched my theme to 2024 one, but that made no difference for the month in review. Maybe it’s only with default theme? I can reproduce that, seems like a (minor!) bug. Seems like its the same issue with other years except 2024!

I don’t understand why the “year in review” calculates the statistics based on the current day, but the “month in review” does it based on the whole month.

Makes no sense to me.

I agree, it would be better if the current month (eg. February) showed the data as month-to-date, similar to how the Year-to-date stat page is show.

I wonder if removing Spectrum and Fubo from the favorites list under the watch now section of the Settings. I kinda like knowing ALL my options because of this site I have learned of some streaming services that I had not heard of before. So I have them all selected…LOL

FWIW I don’t have Spectrum or Fubo selected on my favorite list for streaming and the MIR still shows those 2 as my main available streaming services.

That makes no sense to me. It should be limited to what I have selected as services not where they are if I don’t have access to them.

is it that you dont have access to those services or you just dont subscribe to those services?

if its the former, then it could be something trakt can fix, maybe its a setting or regional issue. if its the latter, they wont know what you sub to. the only option i can think of would be that they only show services you have favorited

Spectrum is a cable tv provider. It’s not an available provider in my location. To the best of my knowledge they’re regional and definitely not available to everyone. So there’s no logic at all in it being on my list (and others in this thread apparently) of where I could watch it.

FUBO I am sure I could access if I wished to but it’s not something I would.

But at the end of the day, surely the whole purpose of having a favorite streaming list in settings is so you know what services you subscribe to that you can watch shows / movies on? That favorite list should form the basis of developing the data for the MIR.

In checking all the other services, they’re all ones I have listed and favorited. It’s just those 2 that are appearing for no apparent reason that I can see.

yeah my guess is that its just where the shows are currently available regardless of region. they pull the data from JustWatch so there might be a limitation somewhere

JustWatch indeed only keeps track per country and doesn’t account for regional availability within a country itself.

Personally I would prefer (like others said) it to be limited to my favorite services

I’ll push a few fixes this week.

  • Fix the month so it doesn’t get cut off on mobile.
  • Fix the per week and per day if you’re viewing the current month.
